French immersion course with Shelley – December 6 to 12, 2025

Shelley's experience report:

Staying with Hélène was one of the best immersion experiences I had. Unlike other programs, I was truly immersed, having the opportunity to speak French almost nonstop (though I’m sure I could have taken a break if I wanted to).

Our morning lessons were tailored to my level and language interests. And the immersion continues on beyond the « classroom ». With Hélène’s resourcefulness and creativity, I got to go to intimate concert and hit improv show; we biked at night along the riverbanks and went to drone shows at la Fête des Lumières. Not to mention local restaurants, bookstores and spending time with their wonderful dog « kickass ».

I can’t imagine a better way to learn French while enjoying a vacation. Most of all, I felt welcomed as part of Hélène’s family and got a real glimpse into everyday life in France.
