This Summer, Timmy, and his parents, Jenny and Mark, came from Australia to Lyon to spend a week in French immersion in Lyon, in order to practise their French and discover the city of Lyon.

Summer immersion stay in Lyon – From July 1 to 7, 2026

Mark's review:

We spent 6 nights with Hélène, Lolo and their dog Kickass for immersion and took the half board option. 2 of us had 3 hours of French lessons in the morning and we all had time to relax and recharge in the afternoon. We loved every second. Why?

1. Hélène is very knowledgeable and has an abundance of resources/experience. My son feels much more confident after 5 days. A longer stay would be even better if you can.

2. Hélène and Lolo put us at ease immediately so we felt very comfortable. We loved Kickass who kept us company.

3. The meals were amazing. Hélène is a great cook and puts considerable effort into making things perfect. Bravo!

4. It's obvious that they really enjoy hosting people and are very good at it.

5. Lyon is very beautiful. We fell in love with it (despite the heat). What a location for immersion!

We haven't done this before but were encouraged by the 5 star reviews. We are very happy to continue this tradition and thoroughly recommend this experience for anyone seeking both a linguistic boost and a wonderful experience. Indeed, we hope to return again.
