Sally and Claudia came from Australia to spend a summer in Lyon learning French, mother and daughter together. Sally, the mother, shares her impressions with you:

Summer stay in French with Claudia and Sally – July 4 to 10, 2025

Sally's experience report:

My 16yo daughter and I spent a wonderful week chez Helene in Lyon. Hélène is a breath of fresh air! Welcoming, smiley, friendly and quick to laugh, Helene put us at ease in her home. The French lessons were professional, thorough and intense.

Our 2 afternoon excursions in and around Lyon were highlights. Hélène is a very knowledgeable guide and Lyon a stunning city. Hélène’s family apartment is a 20mins bus trip from Lyon centre. The location is good and although the apartment is small we felt very comfortable there.

Our room was large and bright. Hélène is an incredible cook- we experienced her amazing French meals each evening and fresh croissants each morning.

I happily recommend Hélène’s language immersion program to any French student.
